PoLAR Scholarship Liaison Opportunity

Update, January 19, 2025

We have filled the scholarship liaison roles until the end of the term. We will repost and welcome applications in May for new liaisons.

PoLAR: Political and Legal Anthropology Review is seeking one or two graduate students to serve as the journal’s scholarship liaison/s. The scholarship liaison will work closely with the Editor-in-Chief, Editorial and Advisory Board members to manage peer review processes. Qualifications and tasks include:

  • Anthropology graduate students in their second year or later with an interest in legal or political anthropology
  • Ability to work 1-3 hours weekly, purely online searching on your own schedule
  • May join monthly Editorial Board meetings by Zoom, but this is not required

The scholarship liaison role is an opportunity to learn about behind-the-scenes about journal processes, and to build networks through Associate Editors and Advisory Board members. The liaison/s will receive mentorship from the Editor-in-Chief and invitations to join journal editorial board events at annual conferences.

Please email dda.polar@gmail.com about the role.
